1. Accessibility Standards
LuvLang strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
2. Accessibility Features
LuvLang includes the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard Navigation: Core mastering functions are accessible via keyboard
- ARIA Labels: Interactive elements include ARIA labels for screen reader compatibility
- Focus Indicators: Visible focus states for keyboard navigation using
:focus-visible - Reduced Motion: Animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query for users who are sensitive to motion - High Contrast: Text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios against dark backgrounds
- Voice Guide: Kiley, our AI voice guide, provides audio instructions for navigating the mastering workflow
- Multiple Languages: Voice guide available in 8 languages
- Semantic HTML: Proper heading structure and landmark regions
- Canvas Alternatives: Audio visualizations include ARIA labels describing their content
- Responsive Design: Full functionality on mobile devices and various screen sizes
3. Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of LuvLang may have limitations:
- Audio Visualizations: Waveform and spectrum displays are visual in nature. We provide text-based alternatives (LUFS readings, dB values) for the same information.
- Drag-and-Drop Upload: The file upload area supports both drag-and-drop and click-to-browse, ensuring keyboard-only users can upload files.
- Real-Time Audio Processing: Some audio processing controls (EQ knobs, sliders) may have limited screen reader descriptions. We are actively working to improve this.
4. Assistive Technology Compatibility
LuvLang is designed to work with:
- Screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, NVDA on Windows, TalkBack on Android)
- Voice control software
- Screen magnification tools
- Alternative input devices
5. Continuous Improvement
